First Rodeo Trip

We took Amy to her first Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and we had a blast! She loves animals and was in heaven at the petting zoo...Sorry, there are a ton of pictures, I just couldn't narrow them down any more than this...

First ride on the LightRail, luckily it didn't hit any cars!
Petting Zoo...the animals were pretty aggressive, but Amy didn't let it slow her down!

On the move...
The little babies were so cute :)
She kept checking out these babies too...

This picture is for Tyler, Amy was very impressed by the Joey!!! He was very soft...
She also test drove some tractors...ready to help Grandpa at the farm!

And she loved petting the bunnies...although we had to help her, she was petting them as rough as she pets Flash and Roxy, I don't think the poor little bunnies appreciated it too much!
Checking out the baby chicks with Mimi...

Check out these boots!!! Too freaking cute! Thanks again Erin!
She had so much excitement that she couldn't even make it through her rodeo hotdog...just too tired!!!

YIKES...A Girly Girl?

Amy has had a fascination with her beads the last few weeks and now she has taken it to a new level...she has to wear her "wrap" all the time. She picked up a scrap of fabric and started putting it around her neck last week while I was sewing. I added fuel to the fire by sewing her a longer one...here she is at Mimi's last week on Spring Break wearing her beads (thanks Megan for the St. Patrick's Day ones!) and her "wrap" and reading her book...all while rocking, quite the multitasker!

Oh look, Mickey Mouse club is on too!

Crawfish Boil

Two weeks ago Matt's company had a crawfish boil to celebrate Engineer's Week...I was not even aware they got their own week, but oh well, the party was fun! Amy was super cute and loved meeting everyone! She really loved her crawfish bib and her mardi gras beads! Sadly the crawfish were too hot for her to taste, so she stuck to macaroni and cheese!

I love your bib! It has a giant crawfish!
Hey look, so does mine!

Bring on the Crawfish!
She really, really loved the beads! She also learned with a cute little smile, she could get anyone to give her their beads...she pretty much looked like Mr. T once we left! She is still in love with them and wears them anywhere we will let her!
Get Back...You can't take my beads!

Go Texan Day!

Amy celebrated Go-Texan day in style!!! Thanks to her friends Miss Julia and Miss Erin! The dress is a hand me down from Julia's little girl and is absolutely precious :) And Miss Erin got Amy boots from the Stockyards in Fort Worth!!! And they are so cute!!! It did take her a while to get used to walking on the heel, but she likes them now!!! She will be set to go to the rodeo! Sorry, these are not the best pictures, she was on the move :) And just ignore the concrete...we are hoping to have the tile installed soon!

Update!

Mom is a little behind...so Amy's birthday was fabulous! But both of her aunts beat me to pictures! So you can check out their blogs to see her birthday pictures!!! She LOVED her cake and getting all the attention! She also had a lot of big cousins to open her presents, so she just got to play with the tissue paper! Here are some other recent pictures...

She really loves Mimi's piano! Although Mimi keeps telling her she is not Elton John and needs to learn to play sitting down first! Please ignore the diaper...these pants are a little big!)
While Tyler was down, Aunt Manda read them a story...look how sweet, he even put his arm around his baby cousin...

Then maybe the arm got a little rough! Luckily Aunt Manda separated them :)
Also, Amy has become obsessed with the fish tank at church, we had to play by it 10 minutes on Sunday...so Mimi bought her her own goldfish! She loves them! She had to sit last night and check them out!

First Birthday!!!

Today is Amy's birthday!!!! We can not believe she is a year old!!! Time flies when you are having fun! We go to the doctor today and we are excited to see how big she is officially!

Also, she is now officially a walker! Last Wednesday after school the dogs were out back and she just took off walking from the couch to the back door to visit with them...Now she is all over the place!

We took her this weekend to have her one-year old pictures and I put some of our favorites below:

He kept trying to give her a stuffed animal, but she only wanted the football, so we gave in and let her play with it instead :)

Little Piano Player

Last night, Daddy was helping Mimi get things set up at her new apartment, so Mimi and I took a little break to play the piano...I LOVE IT!!! It was super noisy and fun!!!
