Trip to Amarillo

Last weekend we went to Amarillo to visit and go to Claire's first communion. We can't believe she is eight already, she is such a grown up! Anyway, we had tons of fun and I took way too many pictures...so be prepared!

On the bus to the airport, she thought it was weird to not be in her carseat.
Playing with the tickets at the airport...

She was eating lunch and had to eat with her napkin on her head, she thought it was hilarious!
Claire getting ready for pictures.
Cayla and Claire before the service.
Amy during church, before Daddy took her to the cry room, let's just say she was a little noisy for big church!
Claire walking in...again, so big!
Amy with her big friends!
Mimi with the kids.

Seriously, could you have a sweeter Goddaughter? Such a sweetheart!
Playing with Claire
Trying on the veil...she would wear it about 2 seconds at a time!

Afterwards, we went to Chuck and Cayla's for a barbeque and to try out the new margarita machine...let's just say it was greatness! Amy loved playing with Claire with a bucket of balls and dumping them on her head...hilarious!

Amy had a new little friend, Tatum and she bullied her a little bit! This picture might look sweet, but Amy is really pushing her out of the way! And she hit her with a book later :)
Amy did love playing with Tatum's car and she rode in it quite a bit...please note, Mommy didn't let the margarita get too far away!
Amy decided she wanted to drive it herself!
And then shooting some hoops with Daddy...
The boys played poker...
Amy checked out the playset...very fun!
On Sunday, Auntie made us lunch and more importantly strawberry shortcake! And taught her the joys of spray whip cream!!! She was a BIG fan!

Amy girl also got her first haircut from Auntie! Or at least got her rattail cut off...it looks much better now! We were so glad Auntie could cut her hair, she gave me my first haircut a long time ago! Thanks so much Auntie!!!
She really did good and set very still...and used the comb!
This is for Uncle Mark...no more rattail!!!
All done!!!
Later we played in the tupperware drawer and the pans! And she started cooking and tasting her food! With her party hat on!
Stirring up something yummy! And both in our party hats!!! This picture cracks me up, she is looking at me like I am nuts!

Cute Picture

Yesterday when we got home from church, Amy wanted to drive the truck! Daddy moved the seat up and she took over! Such a grown up!

Excuse the binkie...she is getting some molars and that is the only thing she will chew on!

We have countertops!

Today was the big day!!! Roberto and his team came and installed our granite and it is absolutely beautiful!!! Of course I will miss the MDF countertops...And I actually have to clean these! We are so excited to be one step closer to a finished house...

The desk area...
The bar!

Look how pretty, they even made a window sill...very cute!
Up close of New Venetian Gold...
On an unrelated note, we took the pups to get haircuts and I didn't answer when they called to say they couldn't just trim Flash...now look at the poor fellow...although now we can see how muscular his legs are and how he can jump 6 feet in the air...Also, White Dog got shaved and looks even cuter now...Dallas is out hiding, so no pictures of her...

Amy's New House

Amy got to spend another fabulous day with Grams today! And they built a house out of our washer box, complete with a garden and a transom above the door! Very Fancy :) Here are some pictures of when Daddy and I got home from work! Thanks again Grams for coming to play!!!

Checking out the view from the side window...

Not sure where she picked up sticking out her tongue, but we have been seeing a lot of it lately.
So big...
Grams and Amy...

MS150 - I mean MS65

Well this weekend was the big ride...however, the weather had other plans...Let's just say LaGrange got 12 inches of rain on Friday and the Anadarko tent was one of many that collapsed...And compliments of another storm system coming through on Saturday, the MS Society cancelled the first day of the ride...for the first time ever :( on the 25th anniversary...

Luckily it didn't slow us down, we rode to La Grange on Saturday to stay at the River Valley Motor Inn, compliments of Jonathan's great fund raising!!! And I must say, it is much easier to get there in Matt's truck than on my bike!!!

Sunday was okay, the wind was killer, but luckily I snuck in behind Jeremy and let him pull me to Austin! I owe him big! Along with Doug and Jonathan!!! Otherwise I would probably still be around Bastrop today! All and all it was a great weekend!!! And I was able to raise a lot of money for such a wonderful cause!!! And if you still would like to donate the link below will work until May 12th!!! I am getting close to my goal, only $150 to go!!!

On to the pictures:

Our fabulous road crew, bagging and duct taping the bikes for the rain! They did a fabulous job, our bikes arived bone dry!
Glad Amy was there to supervise!

Ready to roll...pretty impressive! 4bikes all in trashbags...classy!
Matt took Erin's bike around for test ride...he looked a little like a circus bear on it...might be a little small... Amy practicing for future riding...learning to drink out of a squirt bottle is key!
Our fancy room! It was uber plush :) but at least we didn't have to drive from Houston Sunday morning!
How we spent Saturday instead of riding 100 miles :)
Riding into the finish - Jeremy, me, Doug, Erin and Jonathan...
I think this might have been the happiest I have ever been to see the capitol!
Group shot with the capitol!
Amy at the capitol, she was quite impressed by the whole day! There were so many people to see...She even got excited as we rode by! I don't think she recognized the spandex, but she heard me yelling at her :)
Family shot...
My road crew! Thanks again guys!

MS150 - This Weekend

Hey Everyone, no Easter pictures yet, still have to load the software on the computer to be able to load the pictures...

I have registered for the 25th annual BP MS150 on April 18-19. I am asking you to join me in the fight against MS by making a contribution to support my effort.

It is a long trek for a great cause and I have committed myself to training hard for the ride.

If you are interested in helping me with my goal, you can go online, via the below link, to my personal fundraising site and make your donation there or I can take checks and mail them in. I greatly appreciate any support.

Matt, Amy and Mimi are coming to Austin to meet me and bring me home, so we will have plenty of pictures next week...assuming we get the software on the computer!!!
