We used our extra hospital day to see lots of friends and family! Brett enjoyed meeting everyone...here are a few pictures, I missed getting everyone...sorry!

Meeting Jeremy...

Sitting with Daddy!

And now it is Courtney's turn!

Amy also decided to hold him...she did really well! Kissing him...

Such a good big sister!

Before Amy and Mimi left, we took a little stroll around...Amy pushed Brett for us!

Later, the Jones girls stopped by...Holly holding him!

Hattie's turn!

Aunt Pat loving on little man...

Laura's turn!

Brett Matthew

Brett finally decided to come on his own! After a relatively short labor, he arrived on Monday morning at 10:57. He was 9 lbs. 14 oz. and 22 1/2 inches! Apparently we have big babies :) On to the pictures...

Daddy and Brett...

On the scale...big boy!

Still not liking being jacked with...

Back to Mommy...

Our awesome nurse, Noel...she was such a wonderful nurse and so, so sweet...we were very lucky to have her helping us!

Meeting Opa and Grandpa!

Our door hanger that my aunt made for the little guy! Very cute :)

Noel also made Amy a special bracelet! Amy loved it :)

First family picture!

Amy and I were sharing a rice krispie treat and being such a sweet big sister, she was giving Brett a bite! We have now gone over the fact that he just gets milk for now :)

She also loved holding him!

Pictures with Grams

And Mimi...plus a sweet hug!

And Oma and Opa...

Unfortunately, Brett's breathing got a little quick overnight and he had to spend a day in the NICU getting monitored...turns out he had some fluid on his lungs...luckily it was almost gone the next morning, so he was able to come back to our room to get monitored. It just meant one extra day in the hospital...

Here he is having his hearing test done in the NICU...he passed!

The No Baby Yet Update...

Still no Baby Brett, but here are some cute pictures from while we are waiting...Oma and Opa are here and Amy is loving it! She is the only one that isn't ready for Brett to get here!

Last Sunday, we made bean bags...Amy is quite the helper sewing :)
Here is Amy with her hair rolled and bows in...nice job by Oma! With her first strawberry of the year...she loved it! It was gone pretty quickly!

This morning we headed downtown to see Holly play volleyball...She is awesome! We really enjoyed getting to see her!
Amy had tons of fun playing with Hattie! And she got her hair combed!!! She is becoming very girly apparently :)

House Update and MS150!

A little update on the outside of the house...we had two giant sego palms and we hated them from the day we moved in...luckily thanks to a wonderful husband and father-in-law, I now have a lovely front yard! And just in time for Brett!

Here is a picture of the house when we moved in...bars and all!
Newly landscaped yard! Much better and people can see our front door!!!

Amy also planted some strawberries...hopefully they will be as good as Uncle Brandon's were last year!
Showing off our planter!
Apparently posing :)
And a sweet little kiss for her brother :)
Last weekend, Daddy, Uncle Mark and Jacob rode the MS150! It is a bike ride that goes from Houston to Austin to raise money for the MS Society! These boys raised over $1400 and rode super fast! Way to go guys!!! Matt took a camera with him, but the only picture we ended up with was the one I took before they left...boys...
On to Brett's room, it is finally finished, with a little time to spare! Here are some pictures of it! We think it turned out cute and are excited for the little guy to get here and use it!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Yesterday was Daddy's birthday and what a great day! It was my day off and he got off at noon...Amy bought him two happy birthday balloons, not sure why two, but that was what she picked! Once he got home we took him to lunch and then to buy edging for the front flower bed. He spent the afternoon working out there, pictures to follow, it is almost done! Then we took him to the zoo for Zoobilee! It was tons of fun...

First off, random, but our sweet friends from Sunday School had a diaper dinner for Brett! They were all so sweet and we got tons of diapers! One of friends even made this precious diaper cake! Complete with puppy dogs! It is so cute, we may never take it apart!
On to the zoo trip, or as Amy calls it "the happy birthday zoo party"...we parked downtown and rode the light rail in. Amy has been begging to ride a city bus, so we thought this might be better...she loved it!

All of the kids got a passport that they had to get stamped at different places, once she got all her stamps, she got a cool coloring book! She was pretty pumped to carry her book around...
The lion stamp...
Checking the map for more stamp locations!
They also had dancers dressed up like animals, Amy loved the giraffes...of course she couldn't look at me to get her picture made :)
A sweet one of she and the birthday boy!

They also had airbrush tattoo artists! Amy got a hello kitty one...and it appears to be long lasting...still pretty bright today!
An up close of the tat...
She did not want her picture made with me...she was still trying to find her tattoo!
All and all a fun birthday for Daddy! And Amy is already getting ready for "Bett's Happy Birthday"...she is already planning on some birthday balloons for the little guy! We are all pretty excited that she is really starting to talk about him more and get ready...of course I am sure that will change when he gets here!!!

Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter! We went to church and then to the park with Matt's family! Amy had a fabulous time!!! She ran the whole time we were there! And LOVES playing with all her cousins!

Amy and Daddy ready for church!
Eating lunch at the park with Grandpa!

Riding on the teeter-totter with Everett!
They spent a lot of the day on this one...it was a favorite!
And a few more cousins!!!
Ready for the egg hunt...we were pretty impressed that we got all 8 of them sitting down and in one picture...we will work on them all looking when they are older :)
Hunting eggs! I had to carry her basket...apparently it was slowing her down too much!
Mason posing with his eggs!
Amy with hers!
Everyone going through their eggs! Maddie found the "golden egg" and $5!!! Way to go Maddie!
Playing bubbles with Spence and Everett!
All and all a fun day! Poor girl was worn out tonight!
