Way too many pictures...

Sorry for the long post, I started back to work last week and was a little busy to post what we have been up to...and our kids are too cute, so there are tons of pictures :)

As for work, it has been good to get back in the swing of things and thankfully Mimi is watching Brett until September, so that makes it easier...of course, she does have to get up at 6:15...but he is really cute!

This is Amy's new hobby...watching the clothes in the washer...endless entertainment...definitely taking after her namesake...my grandmother is obsessed with laundry and apparently so is the little Willila!
Last weekend we went to Dallas for Tyler's 4th birthday! Amy loved playing with her cousins! We went to see her first movie and she did really well. And we loved getting to see Toy Story 3! On Sunday, they played slip'n'slide...Amy had to take her shirt off just like the boys...very classy!

Ryan is such a sweet boy...but getting too big :)
Of course, the big boys had to try it out...apparently it is a little harder on the knees and what not after 30!
Oddly, Matt was the only one with his shirt on...apparently a little role reversal :)
Last week we had some pretty heavy rain and Amy got to test out her new monkey boots! She and Grandpa on the way to the "big" puddle at our neighbors.
Grams and Brett watching from the porch.
And of course she had to get her hands wet!
JUMP!
And then sit down...nice and dirty or as Amy would say "filthy"...not sure where she picked that up!
Our neighborhood has a 4th of July bike parade every year and it is always fun. Grams and Amy decorated her wagon last week and we had mini-police lights on top courtesy of Mimi! Our friends little one shared our wagon and they had a great time!

Ready to go :)
Brett joined us along the route...he slept through the parade!
Checking out the original artwork Amy created at school...
Quick family picture on the way into the party!
Amy decided to pull her wagon back to the truck...such a big girl!

We tried some pictures of the 4th of July clothes on Sunday at church...not the best pictures...Mommy - dying of heat, Brett - not sure of the death grip that Mommy has and Amy - not wanting pictures...
And when Daddy jumps in, Amy is all done...I love the smile and death grip on Amy...classy picture...
Last night we headed downtown to the fireworks...it was insanely hot and our family sweats way too much...but we had a great time...we were a little scared of how the kids would do, but they did great! Brett cried after some of the really big fireworks and the finale got to him, but other than that they loved them...Amy really loved the green ones, they were her "favorite"
Daddy's entire family self portrait...pretty nice shot...
This morning we decided we hadn't sweat enough, so we met some friends at Discovery Green to play in the splash pad...Brett was super excited! Mostly to wear his new Bucee's t-shirt that Amy picked out for him!
Amy was much too busy to slow down for a picture, so this is the best I could get...
All and all a fabulous weekend...but I think we are all ready for work, school and Mimi's tomorrow...too much excitement :)

Reading and Randomness

Just some random pictures of our week so far...

We have started running and I wear a little headband...apparently Amy's hair has gotten so long, that she needs one to keep it out of her eyes at dinner! She looks a little like Richard Simmons :)
A little smile from Brett :)

We have started reading our night night books in the floor so that we can all read together, they were so cute tonight, I had to get some pictures! Brett really concentrates on the book to whole time!
Amy apparently isn't into pictures when she is trying to go to sleep :)
Too cute :)

Lake Weekend!

This weekend, Grandpa invited us to the lake for the weekend and we jumped on the chance! Amy was so excited, she could hardly sleep Friday night, although she had no idea what a lake was :) We headed out Saturday morning and made a stop by Buc-ee's! Amy and I were both excited! We even got Brett his very own Buc-ee's shirt :)

She was watching a school bus, much too busy for a picture!
On to the lake...ready to go fishing with Grandpa! With her Barbie tackle box that came with her fishing pole!

Checking out the wiggly worms...she wasn't too sure of them!
Fishing with Daddy...he looked pretty cool with his Barbie pole!
Reeling one in! She caught several before she was bored...
Too cute!
She went exploring! Yes her hat is too big...she doesn't like to wear hers, only mine! But per Daddy, you need a fishing hat!
After fishing, we went on a paddle boat ride and went swimming...once we went in and got a bath, she was worn out! Sweet girl slept 12 hours! We might take her back more often!
And of course the little man was hanging out!
Matt's grandmother went with us too! This is how Brett spent most of his weekend! I don't think he wanted to come home, he would have stayed with Grandma and just kept letting her cuddle him! Amy slowed down enough to get a quick picture! Then was gone again! Before we left, Grandpa and Amy found a whole bag full of pine cones to make more bird feeders! Get ready Mimi! She even found some to hang at Mimi's new house! Fun, fun!!!
A great weekend! Amy already asked if she could "go to lake on other weekend", so we will be talking to Grandpa about that :) A fun father's day for a great Daddy and Grandpa!

Elmo and Cookie Monster came for Bathtime :)

Since Brett started wearing diapers with Seasame Street characters, Amy has become obsessed with Cookie Monster...Brett and I found these towels at Babies r Us and just knew Amy had to have Cookie...last night was their first time to wear them together! Brett likes being Elmo so much that he fell asleep :)

Matt's Request

Matt was sad that Courtney got a post since she requested one, so he requested one tonight! For those of you that have been to our house in the past year and a half, you have seen our new project...or as Matt and Amy call it "Mommy's truck"...sitting in the driveway, close to running, just not quite yet...
The truck was my great-grandfather's, then my grandfather's, then Galyn's, now mine...that way Matt and I both have two vehicles, apparently I can't complain that way :)
Anyway, it hasn't been running since we got it and Matt has been working on it the last couple of weeks...the latest hurdle was a missing fuel line piece and he got it installed tonight! After a quick call to Galyn for the shift pattern, it was time for a trip around the block! And it made it!!! I was afraid we were going to be pushing it back up the drive, but it made it :)

Ready to roll...ignore the no shirt...it is still about 100 degrees outside tonight!
Apparently only need to clean one side!

There it goes!
Ready to roll...

An Update for Courtney P

We haven't been too busy lately, but here are some pictures from the last week...mostly for Courtney, since she requested the update.

On our walk the other night Amy said that she wanted her picture taken when we got home. Here they are ready for bed and cuddling...
Not sure what is up with her eyes...but too cute of her being a great big sister :)

Uncle Mark was down last week for a conference, so he came over for dinner, everyone loved visiting! Especially Amy! Thanks for stopping by!
I had a check up at Dr. Johnson's yesterday and since we missed the hospital picture with her and Brett (she had to run across the hall to deliver another baby!), we took one at her office...Amy was with us, but didn't want to get her picture made.
After the doctor, we went swimming at Aunt Velma and Uncle Gary's...Amy had a blast! And Brett liked the water, so much he took a nap! Ready in his surfer shirt!
Sweet girl!
Practicing swimming with Daddy!
Brett chilling after all that hard work swimming!
Afterwards, Amy went to Bryan to have a slumber party with Grams! Today they are at the Children's Museum...they have sent a couple of cell phone pictures...too fun!
An elephant in a Buccee's t-shirt and rainbow shorts! By the way, this is her new favorite outfit...made us wash her Buckee's shirt to wear the other day...so bossy...not sure where she gets that from :)

Picture Update!

Just a few new pictures of what we have been up to...

Brett had his first bottle last week...he wasn't a fan, but is doing better with them now.
Friday, Amy came home from school and wanted to go to the zoo to ride a zebra on the carousel...and it had to go up and down...this is a huge breakthrough...she has been terrified of the carousel...so Saturday morning we headed out to the zoo...it was incredibly hot, but we all had a good time!
We got there in time to see the lion up! Amy was super excited!

How the little man spent most of his day at the zoo :)
Jonathan checking things out!
A super safe way to stand on the stroller to check out the jaguar!
Amy loves to take pictures and this is one she took...pretty good!
Waiting in line at the carousel!
Ready to go...and not crying! A huge improvement from her last ride!
Another Amy shot...
After the zoo, we headed over to ride the train! Amy loved it also...Brett slept :)
On Sunday, Amy helped feed Brett his bottle...she was very excited to help!
Last night, they took their first bath together! They both had fun...Brett didn't even cry...he fell asleep during it...the boy likes to sleep!
Once Brett got out "Baby Amy" had to try out his seat...clearly she still fits in it :)
