Comparison...

We keep thinking that the little ones look just alike and here is a comparison at almost 3 months...Amy definitely had less hair and rounder eyes...Maybe there is a chance that Brett will look like me after all...

Amy - April 2008
Brett - July 2010

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Tomorrow is Grandpa's 60th birthday!!!! Since he is in the desert (aka Kuwait), Amy and Brett decided to send some birthday wishes via email...

Happy birthday Grandpa! We hope you have a great day! The artwork is an Amy original :)
Her cheese face...

And a little kiss for "Bretty Boy"

Circus!

Amy and Mimi made me a 30th birthday cake! And she liked wearing Daddy's tie and it was cool for Mommy to have one too!
Last Saturday we went to the circus! And it was awesome! Waiting for the escalator!

Brett was super excited!
Going into the animal experience...it was very cool to be that close to the animals! We all really enjoyed it!
Elephants' trunks are polka dot (as Amy calls spots)...who knew?
Amy was pumped to see the "zoo keepers"...until the elephant keeper talked to us and she was scared...love her face here...
We had some fun cousins meet us and play...here they are with the motorcycle from Orange County...Matt was pretty excited to see it, he had watched the build!
Family picture with the clown! I hope he is looking at Brett and not checking me out :)
Amy's first treat...our "shared" popcorn that she ate 95% of :)
Things we won't try on our Treks...
Brett chilling with Wes...
Snack time...good parents buy their kids pretzels...we opted for cotton candy...but we shared, so everyone could have a sugar high :)
Loving her first cotton candy...
The elephants!
On another exciting note, Amy's hair is finally kind of long enough for pigtails!!! She looks so cute in them! Today she had to have three at Mimi's...

30...YIKES!!!

Last weekend, Matt and Amy took me to Galveston for the weekend for my 30th birthday. We left Brett with Grams and Mimi since we thought he would enjoy that more...The Landrys went with us and we all had a great time! Especially Amy :)

Our hotel pool was awesome! We all tried out the slide and it was fun! Amy loved riding down with Daddy!

Amy chose to sleep in the bed...Matt and I both woke up early on Saturday, could be the way she was sleeping...at least I got her head and wasn't getting kicked like Daddy!

We headed to the beach and Amy was unsure of the ocean, but she let Daddy carry her out! The rest of the time she just played on the beach..."no ocean, just beach" :)

Matt dug a hole and Amy loved sitting in it :)

Her name in the sand and a little "cheese" or "super cheese"...

Checking out her name...

Amy's sand castle creation...a huge moat and lots of castles...the boys really liked building the moat :)
We headed to the room before we went to the pool and Amy needed a ponytail, like the girls.
We went to Guido's for dinner and Amy had a little tray on her high chair...too fancy...
After dinner we went to the Strand for dessert. Walking with Daddy...
Ice Cream!!!
Too cute :)
We also went on a carriage ride. Amy loved riding in Dana's cart. She is still talking about Dana!

Thanks Dana!
Such a fun weekend! Just still can't believe I am 30...wow!

4th of July Comparison

A little comparison from our three fourth of July parades...

2008:
2009:

2010:
Blogger didn't upload this picture on the last post...And I forgot to post that Mimi made the kids their super cute fourth of July shorts and skirt...they were so cute! Thanks Mimi!

Way too many pictures...

Sorry for the long post, I started back to work last week and was a little busy to post what we have been up to...and our kids are too cute, so there are tons of pictures :)

As for work, it has been good to get back in the swing of things and thankfully Mimi is watching Brett until September, so that makes it easier...of course, she does have to get up at 6:15...but he is really cute!

This is Amy's new hobby...watching the clothes in the washer...endless entertainment...definitely taking after her namesake...my grandmother is obsessed with laundry and apparently so is the little Willila!
Last weekend we went to Dallas for Tyler's 4th birthday! Amy loved playing with her cousins! We went to see her first movie and she did really well. And we loved getting to see Toy Story 3! On Sunday, they played slip'n'slide...Amy had to take her shirt off just like the boys...very classy!

Ryan is such a sweet boy...but getting too big :)
Of course, the big boys had to try it out...apparently it is a little harder on the knees and what not after 30!
Oddly, Matt was the only one with his shirt on...apparently a little role reversal :)
Last week we had some pretty heavy rain and Amy got to test out her new monkey boots! She and Grandpa on the way to the "big" puddle at our neighbors.
Grams and Brett watching from the porch.
And of course she had to get her hands wet!
JUMP!
And then sit down...nice and dirty or as Amy would say "filthy"...not sure where she picked that up!
Our neighborhood has a 4th of July bike parade every year and it is always fun. Grams and Amy decorated her wagon last week and we had mini-police lights on top courtesy of Mimi! Our friends little one shared our wagon and they had a great time!

Ready to go :)
Brett joined us along the route...he slept through the parade!
Checking out the original artwork Amy created at school...
Quick family picture on the way into the party!
Amy decided to pull her wagon back to the truck...such a big girl!

We tried some pictures of the 4th of July clothes on Sunday at church...not the best pictures...Mommy - dying of heat, Brett - not sure of the death grip that Mommy has and Amy - not wanting pictures...
And when Daddy jumps in, Amy is all done...I love the smile and death grip on Amy...classy picture...
Last night we headed downtown to the fireworks...it was insanely hot and our family sweats way too much...but we had a great time...we were a little scared of how the kids would do, but they did great! Brett cried after some of the really big fireworks and the finale got to him, but other than that they loved them...Amy really loved the green ones, they were her "favorite"
Daddy's entire family self portrait...pretty nice shot...
This morning we decided we hadn't sweat enough, so we met some friends at Discovery Green to play in the splash pad...Brett was super excited! Mostly to wear his new Bucee's t-shirt that Amy picked out for him!
Amy was much too busy to slow down for a picture, so this is the best I could get...
All and all a fabulous weekend...but I think we are all ready for work, school and Mimi's tomorrow...too much excitement :)
