Weekend with Tyler

This weekend Tyler came down to stay with Mimi and we had so much fun playing with him!!! Expecially Amy! They were so sweet together! She woke up from her nap and asked for Ty-ter...very cute!

Thanks Aunt Amanda, Uncle Galyn and Ryan for letting him come to play! We all loved having him here :)

Friday, Tyler and Mimi picked Amy up from school and they went to play at Mimi's "department" aka. apartment :)
Reading together...
And piano!

Saturday morning we took them to Discovery Green to play at the splash park...if you haven't been, you need to go, it was such fun!
"What Ty-Ter?"
Amy flashing gang signs...starting kind of young...
Not sure what this face is :)
That's better!
Waiting on the water, I guess!
Such cuties :)
Come on water!!!
The beginning of a slow speed chase...
Choo-Choo...or move out of my way...not sure :)
Amy was scared when the big water came on...not Tyler, he was all over the big water too!
Snack time...
And afterwards, they hit the playground...
And played a little music...
After a long morning at the park, this is what we got home to...just precious!

Helping Daddy!

Here at the Roberts house, we don't believe in chlid labor laws...Amy is already helping with the mowing! She loves to sack up the grass once Daddy is done. She also loves to watch us mow, she will play in her pool and just watch us the whole time...we are training her to be an outside girl!

Inspecting the situation...

And she is off...

More to pick up...
At least we give her work gloves! I guess we need to find her some smaller ones...
Water break time...
Just precious!

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Grandpa's birthday was last week and we had him over for dinner. Amy helped me make him some malt shop chocolate cupcakes with cherry buttercream icing! Yum! And like any good chef, she tasted her icing to make sure it was good!

Love the tongue out!

Eating cupcakes with Grandpa!
And a little clap!
Her new thing is to tell everyone to share (which sounds like "chair")...when she says it she folds her arms over her chest. We have no idea why she does it...it is hilarious though!

Telling Grandpa to "chair" :)

Celebrity Sighting...

We went to breakfast on Saturday and Amy had to have a hat and sunglasses before we could leave home...it cracked us both up...apparently she is trying to hide from the paparazzi :)

House Update...

Amy, Mimi and I headed to the outlet mall after church yesterday to do some shopping...when we left Matt was going to work on gutting Amy's bathroom...this is what we came home to! YIKES...no turning back now! On a plus note, the toilet and tub still function...although I can't see bathing a baby in there now...I think we will stick to the sink until the renovation is complete!

Pizza with Cousins!

Yesterday Amy spent the day with Grams and they headed to The Woodlands for some more cousin time before Jill and the boys headed back to the islands...They took all seven kids to play at the water fountains and then I met them after work to head to Aunt Velma's for pizza!!! Amy loves being with all her little cousins!!! So fun!

Sorry the pictures are not the best, all I had was my phone camera!

Happy 6th Anniversary...

Matt and I celebrated our 6th anniversary last weekend...I still can't believe we have been married 6 years or are getting so old...wow...time really does fly! We decided last minute that we would go to Schlitterbahn on Saturday, Gruene Hall Saturday night, and then to Bastrop to the Lost Pines Resort on Sunday...however, the Honda had different plans...

Matt greeting the tow truck in Schulenburg...super fun to drive an hour, then get to ride a tow truck back to Katy...
Luckily Amy and Grams came to pick us up...Glad one of them is watching the road...

So, after a detour home, we cancelled Schlitterbahn and Gruene and went straight to Bastrop...in the Ford, much more reliable...(and yes, Galyn, the air conditioner still works!)
This is the coolest resort we have been to in awhile...complete with lazy river, waterfall, butterfly garden and nightly smores!
Riding my cruiser...
Matt by the Colorado River, we took a raft down it the first night, very pretty and so quiet...
The main courtyard area
Part of the pool, seriously, the pool was awesome...
Sunday was our anniversary, so we headed to the "barbeque mecca of Texas" - Lockhart...
We chose this fancy little place...it was the cheapest Anniversary dinner we have ever had and one of the best! They had lone star long necks and sweet tea...what more could you ask for?
A lovely self portrait!
A little sweet tea in the truck...a little tricky, apparently Lockhart doesn't believe in lids or repaving their two lane roads...it was interesting to say the least... Luckily we made it back in time to roast smores!!! And yes, we were the oldest people out there...but smores are great no matter how old you are!
Delicious!
Grams watched Amy while we were gone and we picked her up on our way home in Bryan...We took her to the bookstore to get some new Aggie gear since she has outgrown all of hers...cruising the MSC...
She wanted a stuffed animal until she came upon the giant foam hands...Mr. Jeremy turned her on to gloves at our office one day and it apparently continues to fascinate her!
I must say she was pretty cute cruising campus with her gigem hand :)

As for the Honda...once we got home, it was a $40 part...fabulous, luckily Matt was able to fix it himself...
Oh well, we had a fabulous anniversary!!!
